In an age where the world is literally at your fingertips, it is easy to forget that every amazing cup of coffee starts with a barista. If you don't know what kind of coffee to choose from our seven different flavors, our barista's are more than happy to help you make a choice and even offer a few tips for learning to describe the smell and taste of your coffee, as a flavor. Some have been known to think the term "tip" means To Insure Promptness, but this is incorrect. It was first coined in 1610 and officially documented in The Vulgar Tongue. At Café Balconi, the only vulgar tongue is that which refers to hipsters as "stars" or dollars as "bucks." While our Barista's are gainfully employed members of an elite brewing guild, they do appreciate the kind of gratuity that folds and will always accept the kind that jingles.
Bill (as in barista), has been known to offer the most tips to customers new to the siphon brewing experience. He's known to read the minds of customers who've just rolled out of bed and are in need of a fresh cuppa on a Monday morning. While not a dancer, Bill demonstrates some fancy footwork when he is busy and juggling three or more siphon brews at once. What a master!
