I found myself exhausted this past weekend and needing not just any cup of coffee but the cup of coffee-- something that would not leave me with a peculiar twitch or aftertaste. I didn't have much of an appetite, so I opted for a chocolate cookie and what turned out to be one of the best cups of coffee I have had in a long while: Ethiopia Gedebe by Verve Coffee Roasters. While they describe this roast as "Teeming with fragrant florals and spices... " and "...reminiscent of an exotically spiced cider," I would call it full-bodied and aromatic, with just the right amount of zest and spice to accompany just about any delicacy. With a great book by your side, you'll definitely want another cup of this brew. Try it with a salted chocolate chip cookie and you'll have a reading experience you won't soon forget!
